Edwardian casement windows are lighter and more refined than their Victorian predecessors — often pairing multi-pane or leaded top lights with larger, clearer panes below. Made to order in timber to reflect authentic Edwardian detailing, ours combine that period character with modern glazing, draught-proofing and security, for homes across London and the surrounding counties.
The Edwardian period (1901 onward) brought a lighter, more elegant approach to window design, influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. Casement windows became especially popular, frequently featuring a divided top light — several small panes, or delicate leaded lights — set above a larger clear pane, maximising daylight while retaining decorative character.
Our bespoke Edwardian casement windows are crafted to reflect that style, with a true flush casement profile where the opening sash sits flush within the frame for the authentic, slimline look of traditional joinery. Multi-pane and leaded top lights can be reproduced to match your property.
Available in Engineered Redwood Pine, Meranti, Accoya® and Oak, each window is manufactured to order and can be tailored with traditional glazing-bar layouts, period mouldings and heritage ironmongery to suit both period and contemporary homes.

Initial quotation
We provide an initial quotation within 1–3 days of your enquiry.

Site survey
Within 1–2 weeks we measure and document the openings on site, recording profiles, sightlines and any conservation status.

Drawings & approval
We produce production drawings and a specification for your approval — and to support any planning or listed building consent.

Manufacture
Once your specification is approved, each window is crafted to your approved specification. Typically 5–8 weeks; 7–12 weeks for larger or bespoke conservation work.

What is an Edwardian casement window?
An Edwardian casement window is a side-hung timber window in the Edwardian style, typically lighter and more refined than Victorian designs, often with a divided or leaded top light over a larger clear pane below. Unlike a sash window, which slides vertically, a casement is hinged and opens outward. We make ours as true flush casements with period detailing.
What is the difference between Victorian and Edwardian casement windows?
Victorian casements tend to use larger plain panes with minimal bars. Edwardian casements are lighter and more decorative, often featuring several small panes or leaded lights in the top section above a larger clear pane — an Arts and Crafts influence. Can you make leaded top lights for Edwardian casements?
Yes. We make traditional leaded lights in diamond or rectangular patterns for the top lights, which is authentic to many Edwardian windows, and match them to the existing or historically appropriate design for your property.
