The brief
What the project needed
A pair of high-specification new-build homes in Surrey — Windsor House and Vanbrugh House — called for timber sash windows in the Georgian manner, bringing classic proportions and fine glazing bars to brand-new houses in keeping with their red-brick and stone-dressed architecture. We worked closely with the architects and the developers throughout to make sure everything ran smoothly, from specification to delivery.

New-build work brings its own demands: windows specified to architect's drawings, manufactured to exact openings across large elevations, and delivered to programme. Across both houses, every sash had to carry the refined Georgian proportions the design called for — alongside timber doors and garden openings — while meeting modern new-build performance standards. The finished work
The finished homes wear their timber windows beautifully — fine glazing bars and crisp frames set against red brick and stone, giving new houses the timeless character of classic period properties, with full modern performance throughout. Timber garden doors open the principal rooms to the landscaped gardens.
